Sensation, by Rimbaud

Arthur Rimbaud

Sensation – Arthur Rimbaud – March 1870 – with translations from French into English and Italian by Enzo Martinelli

🇫🇷

🇬🇧

Sensation

On blue summer evenings, I will go on paths,
tickled by ears of wheat, trampling on small grass:
Dreamer, I will feel the freshness at my feet.
I will let the wind wet my bare head.

I won’t speak, I won’t think of anything:
but an infinite love will rise from my soul,
and I will go far, far away, like a gypsy
around Nature – happy as with a woman.

🇮🇹

Sensazione

e andrò lontano, molto lontano, come uno zingaro
